We had our CareGroup from church over last night for BBQ and homemade ice cream. Then we all walked up the hill near our house to watch the fireworks show put on by Wake Forest. Enjoyed seeing lots of other friends from church and our neighborhood for that. We started our day today by decorating Kathleen and Joshua's bikes and then participating, along with a couple of thousand other children, in Wake Forest's children's parade. Here's a clip...
This evening we walked down to a new neighbor's house for a yummy meal of steak, potatoes & corn on the cob followed up by ice cream and watermelon outside where another family joined us. We are so blessed to have these two families recently move into our neighborhood. One has two boys who Joshua LOVES playing with. They wrestle and play pretend superhero games and build with legos, etc. The other family has two girls near Kathleen's age. Today Kathleen and Aubrey spent most of the afternoon dressing up as ballerina's and making up dances. They've all gotten quite comfortable going back and forth between houses. We are looking very forward to our trip to see family but these friends will definately be missed.
