The children actually started building their fort in the freezing cold weather last week. The sun was shining and they wanted so badly to be outside! It became somewhat of a community project and we had a backyard full of kids pulling old branches and logs out of the woods to build a "bear cage" as Joshua called it. We later realized they were actually building a "barricade." I thought they did a good job. The old fallen tree behind the barricade is their fort and evidently has several rooms. Notice the flower pots in front. Kathleen made it her special project to plant the flowers and thus decorate the barricade. :)

The weather really warmed up this weekend. Kathleen and Timothy had fun swinging together on the hammock Sunday afternoon. For a while on Sunday he was fairly attached to his big sister. She is the only person he wanted - even over mommy! It was really sweet. Kathleen is great with Timothy.
